Year 8 Reflection Days

This term, as a part of the Religious Education Program of the College, the Year 8 students participated in a Reflection Day. Reflection Days are wonderful opportunities for all students to take a step back, develop their reflective capabilities and nourish their personal faith journey through presentations, small group discussions and retreat style group activities. The theme of our Year 8 Reflection Day was “the Sower and the Seed” to reflect opportunities students face as they grow into greater levels of freedom and responsibility in their own lives. Thank you to all the Year 8 Religious Education teachers for their facilitation of these days.

De La Salle College - New Staff Formation Days

In our Catholic Lasallian tradition here at De La Salle we are committed to nurturing our staff and developing their understanding in the history of the College and of the story of the Founder, St John Baptist de La Salle. In Term 2, all new staff to the College will commence a series of induction/formation sessions that will be facilitated by me (Assistant Principal - Identity and Mission), and Peter Houlihan, Principal.

It is important to us that we instill a commitment and deep respect for the Lasallian charism within all staff to create a community that enables staff and students to grow and act in a spirit of Christian faith and love, where the Five Core Lasallian Principles are recognised in all we do.
