Science Week

Science Week finished on Friday 27 August with great participation across the College.

Over the week we had thousands of visits to the Science Week OLLIE Page, 926 entries in the daily quizzes, and 40 students enter the competitions.

I would like to thank all the students who participated and made entries in the Science Week competitions. There were strong entries across the Year Levels which made judging a winner a difficult task. The winners of the competitions are as follows:

De La Salle MasterChef Competition Winner – Adam Wong (7R). Adam cooked an amazing Asian dinner for his family with 8 different dishes, including dumplings, sushi, inari, steak, rice and salad.

Science @ Home Competition Winner – Henry Moore (St Mark's House 5). Henry created an explosion with a Milo tin using custard and air to blow the lid off the tin and create a fiery explosion in his backyard.

Photography Competition Winner – Andrew Andaloro (St Austin's House 2). Andrew entered his photo of the moon. The wonder and mystery of the surface of our closest neighbour in the solar system best encapsulated the essence of science week.
