Holy Eucharist Campus
Year 9

A Science teacher will correctly deem active transport to be the movement of molecules from a region of lower concentration to a region of higher concentration. However, the De La Salle Year 9 student considers active transport as the preferred method of travel to and from the Holy Eucharist Campus.

Research shows that students who cycle or walk as part of their journey to school are far more focused and ready to learn than those that are driven to school.

Despite Melbourne’s wintery blast, we currently have 36 avid bike riders who brave the conditions and ride to and from the Holy Eucharist Campus every day.

Year 9 students, Ben Rogan and Ty Andrews (pictured) suggest riding to school gives them further independence in their day. They say it is quicker than using public transport and allows them to get incidental exercise.
