Kinnoull Campus Year 10 - 12
With the Semester Two exams underway at Kinnoull, it’s important that students implement appropriate self-help wellbeing strategies that will enable each student to be at their best when sitting for their end of year exams. At a recent campus virtual assembly, I shared the following key messages with the Year 10 and 11 students:
|
- It’s ok and very normal to have feelings of anxiety about sitting exams
- Sitting exams is good practice for attempting VCE end of year exams
- It is an opportunity to refine and improve student’s study habits and routines
- It’s an opportunity to test your knowledge
Managing good self-care will play a critical role in enabling each student to feel confident throughout the examination period. Consequently, it is highly recommended that each student undertake the following self-care steps to support their wellbeing over the coming week:
|
- Create an exam study planner which will enable each student to take control of managing their time
- Exercise regularly each day by getting outside
- Staying positive, even when study may become challenging
- Study online with like-minded peers
- Break the study down into small pieces – taking it one step at a time
Above all else, students should attempt all examinations to the best of their ability, despite the challenges of remote learning this Semester.
