Holy Eucharist Campus
Year 9

As we come to the end of our current Year 9s time at Holy Eucharist we have been reflecting on what makes the experience of our Year 9 campus a great one.

While it has been an interrupted year, so many of our Year 9s have embraced the Holy Eucharist principles of engagement, identity and empowerment. One such student is this year’s Higgins Medal recipient, James McLisky. James embodies the qualities of motivation and resilience that we encourage and has demonstrated these in his response to challenges throughout the year. His work ethic and maturity in his approach to peers and staff has made him a respected member of the College community.

“James has shown a steadfast commitment to his studies and sporting commitments, despite it being a challenging year on both fronts” said Year 9 Head of Campus, David Alexander.

“Like every Melbournian, being at home this year has been difficult, but I have enjoyed and engaged with my classes” said James. “The advice I would give to the upcoming Year 9’s is that Year 9 is a different year from all others, so enjoy it while you can.”

Proving that a positive mindset is always an advantage, James is a worth recipient of this year's Higgins Medal.
