Kinnoull Campus
Year 10 - 12

The senior students returned to Kinnoull refreshed and recharged after the Term 2 holidays. In reaching the halfway mark of the academic year, all students will need to employ a stead-fast and disciplined approach for the remainder of the year in order to achieve their personal and academic best. In the coming week during GROW, students will be working closely with their Mentor to analyse and review their Semester One academic report. In consultation with their Mentor, students will be required to set SMART goals for the remainder of the year. Each student must identify strategies that will enable their goals to be achieved. I encourage parents to discuss this with their son in the coming week.

Year 10 students recently participated in a ‘Driver Ed’ program facilitated by staff from the Vic Roads education department. This session used an evidence informed approach to classroom learning and road safety training to reduce young people’s risk as a road user and support them in their foundation stages of learning to drive.

Building on a community that values respectful relationships and inclusivity, the Year 7 and 11 students were involved in their second ‘Big Brother, Little Brother’ session last week. The purpose of the program enables each Year 11 student to establish a connection with a Year 7 buddy. Whilst engaging in a variety of student lead activities, the students enjoyed catching up with their buddy from earlier this year.
