Demonstrating Lasallian Values

In a wonderful example of a De La Salle student acting justly, Ned Hegan (Year 7 Hegarty) has been instrumental in reuniting a lost flute with its owner.

Upon discovering an abandoned flute on the train, Ned collected the instrument and brought it in to school, seeking assistance from staff to remedy the situation. Compounding the problem, the contact details on the tag were smudged and unreadable. After some fine detective work from staff members, Susan Jost and Belinda King, the owner was eventually located and contacted.

Unknown to all at the time, the flute’s owner needed it desperately for an exam the following week. Needless to say, the student was relieved to have her instrument located and returned within a few hours of it going it missing all thanks to Ned’s smart thinking and ability to take responsibility for the lost flute.

Congratulations Ned on demonstrating one of our Lasallian values, Justice, in your daily life.
