Holy Eucharist Campus
Year 9

The Holy Eucharist Campus, like the rest of De La Salle College, is now in full swing with the Year 9 students immersing themselves fully in their single year level campus life. The last three weeks have seen the students begin to build into the more cross-curricula components of Holy Eucharist, namely Ingenuity and Alliance. They are already showing an adaptability to the more inquiry-based learning focuses that the campus implements.

Another aspect of the campus that the students have already taken a real shine to, and fully involved themselves with, is the Immersion program and the WISE skills project. Over the last three Tuesdays and the proceeding three, students have and will be engaging in developing life-skills important for independent living. From sewing on buttons, to completing basic First Aid, through to setting up online calendars and entry-level woodwork skills, the boys will continue to engage with a range of skills to build self-efficacy and confidence. They will also record, reflect upon and practice these skills outside of the college.

Having only recently come to the Holy Eucharist Campus, it is so encouraging and refreshing to see the unique curriculum and the development of small, impactful programs such as Ingenuity and Alliance.
