The Associated Catholic Colleges (ACC) presents a CREED Media production, ‘ACCent on Music’ — A Documentary Film. Over 600 students from 13 secondary schools including De La Salle College, based in Melbourne and regional Victoria, collaborate to perform a combined concert at Hamer Hall to an audience of over 2000 people in 2022.
This is a superb production, which not only documents De La Salle students and staff involvement in this epic event in collaboration with all other ACC college music communities, but also serves as a highly entertaining demonstration and explanation of the benefits of an education in Music.
Of the many ensembles that are showcased in ‘ACCent on Music’, this feature length documentary focuses on three of these; Senior Stage Band, Junior Choir and the Drumline Ensemble. Each of these storylines break down the trajectory of students meeting each other, rehearsing together only two to three times, and eventually performing on the Hamer Hall stage. It encompasses moments of apprehension, laughter and outstanding musical talent.
