De La Salle College, Malvern, is proud to continue its highly successful two‑year partnership with Monash Villarreal FC, further strengthening a program that has already delivered significant sporting and developmental benefits. Through this ongoing relationship, Monash Villarreal FC provides the College with accredited, professionally trained coaches who lead, design, and implement the College’s football program across training, development, and competitive performance pathways. This alignment with a professional coaching structure has contributed to elevated standards across the program and played a key role in the recent success of the College’s Senior Football Team, who were crowned ACC Premiers last season, marking a milestone achievement for the school’s football program.
A key pillar of this partnership is the direct and authentic connection to Villarreal CF, the respected Spanish La Liga club. De La Salle College continues to benefit from access to Villarreal’s International Academy methodology, development philosophy, and high‑performance pathways. This affiliation includes opportunities for staff and student immersion experiences, technical alignment, and participation in official Villarreal CF academy tours, including the College’s proposed 2027 tour to Spain. This international link offers students an exceptional opportunity to experience elite European football environments, training structures, and cultural enrichment.
In preparation for the forthcoming 2027 tour, College representatives met with Mar Llaneza, Head of Business Development of the International Academies, and Alejandro “Nano” Marquez, Co‑ordinator of International Technical Directors. Their engagement reaffirmed the strength of the partnership and outlined further avenues through which Villarreal CF can continue supporting De La Salle College, ensuring continued growth in coaching quality, player development, and international football exposure.
