Enrolment Process

Step 1: Application

Application Form

A non-refundable application fee of $65, inclusive of GST, is required to process each application. It’s important to note that submitting an application is a step towards enrolment but does not automatically guarantee a place.

A copy of your son’s birth certificate (in PDF format) must be provided with the Application Form. Applications are accepted from birth and are processed in line with the De La Salle College enrolment policy.

De La Salle College is not registered with  The Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS) so therefore are unable to enrol international students on a Student Visa. Applicants must hold Australian Citizenship or a Permanent Residency. Families holding a Visa must be able to provide documentation.

Planning your son’s educational journey is made easy with our Year of Entry enrolment table. This guide is designed to help you determine the ideal starting year for your son at De La Salle College.

Our Admissions Team is ready to assist you with any questions or guidance you might need. They can be reached at (03) 9508 2100 or via email.

Step 2: Enrolment Interview

Enrolment interviews for all prospective students are conducted with a senior academic staff member.

The primary goal of these informal interviews is to get to know both you and your son better, ensuring that our College can support his growth and development in the best possible way. We will take this opportunity to gain an understanding of your son’s strengths and interests as well as any medical, learning, or pastoral needs your son may have.

To help us make the most of this meeting, our Admissions team will request the following information prior to the interview:

  • Your son’s most recent academic reports.
  • Latest NAPLAN results
  • Any other supporting documentation relevant to your son’s learning needs.

This information will enable us to have a more informed and meaningful discussion about your son’s educational journey and how our College can contribute to his success and well-being.

Step 3 – Formal Offer

Formal offers of place will be made following the enrolment interview in line with the MACS enrolment guidelines. Details regarding offers for each intake year will be communicated directly by the Admissions Team to families during the enrolment process.

Step 4 – Accepting Your Place

To secure your son’s place, we ask you to complete and return the necessary paperwork by the specified due date and pay the once off enrolment fee of $300.

By completing the Acceptance Agreement, you are acknowledging your understanding of our College’s expectations and procedures. It is also a confirmation that all the information you have provided is accurate and complete.

At De La Salle College, we are committed to providing a nurturing and enriching educational experience, and we look forward to welcoming your family to our community.

Step 5 – Transition

De La Salle College places great importance on ensuring a seamless transition for all students entering a new school environment.

To prepare for a great start, students confirmed for Year 5 and Year 7 entry will participate in a range of transition activities. These will focus on forming new friendships, familiarity of our campus as well as participating in academic assessments. These assessments help us create an initial academic profile for your son, allowing us to tailor an educational journey that best suits his needs.

Details regarding specific transition activities for each cohort will be provided by the Admissions Team.
