Our Unique Difference

At De La Salle College, education is about more than academic results, it’s about shaping good young men with integrity, purpose and heart. Among private schools Melbourne, we stand apart through our Lasallian values, nurturing the individual strengths of every student and offering a dynamic, future-focussed education that empowers boys to thrive. What sets us apart from other private schools Melbourne families consider is our deep commitment to character, community, and personalised growth — preparing each student not just for exams, but for life.

Values for Life

At De La Salle College, we’re dedicated to shaping confident, capable and compassionate young men, grounded in values that guide them for life. Inspired by our Lasallian tradition, we create a culture where every boy is supported to grow in character, leadership and purpose.

Our five core values, Faith, Respect, Inclusivity, Social Justice and Education — are lived every day. They guide how we teach, how we care, and how we help each student become his best self.

We celebrate diversity, nurture individuality, and empower our students to think critically, act with integrity and serve others. At De La Salle, boys are known, valued and inspired — ready to lead, contribute, and thrive in a changing world. At De La Salle, these values aren’t just words, they are lived every day, shaping the way our students learn, lead and connect with their world.

Two Campuses, One Spirit

As part of our exciting Master Plan, De La Salle College is transitioning from three campuses to two — creating a more connected, streamlined journey for students from Year 7 to Year 12. This innovative approach distinguishes us among private schools Melbourne, with each campus purposefully designed to support boys at every stage of their development, featuring tailored programmes, modern facilities and a strong sense of community. With fewer transitions and greater continuity, our students benefit from deeper relationships, focussed learning, and a shared school spirit that grows with them.
