Reconciliation Action Plan

In 2023, De La Salle College established the Reconciliation Working Group. This group helped form and submit the College’s inaugural Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) with the Narragunnawali: Reconciliation in Education program.  In March 2024, De La Salle College’s RAP was approved by Reconciliation Australia and launched to staff at the beginning of Term two.

Since 2006, Reconciliation Action Plans (RAPs) have enabled organisations to sustainably and strategically take meaningful action to advance reconciliation. Nationally, more than 10,000 schools and early learning services have a RAP with the Narragunnawali: Reconciliation in Education program. A Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) is a formal commitment to reconciliation with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. It documents how our school will strengthen relationships, respect and opportunities in the classroom, around the school and between our First Nations and College communities.

Our Vision for Reconciliation is based on the College’s five Lasallian values and the five dimensions of Reconciliation. Through the RAP, we aim to develop staff and student understanding of the role they play in the reconciliation process.
