Our Years 10 to 12 students have had a busy and productive end to the term, with a strong focus on hands-on learning, future pathways and wellbeing.
The VET Building and Construction group has been completing their CFMEU Erect and Safely Use Working Platforms qualification, building practical skills and industry knowledge as part of their vocational learning.

In Food Technology, Year 10 students completed their Canteen Cook assessments. The boys had the opportunity to design, plan and cook their own new item for a school canteen, putting their creativity and practical food preparation skills into action.
As part of their practical unit on gardening and native plants, our Work Related Skills and Personal Development students visited the Royal Botanic Gardens for an Indigenous guided walk. Students learnt about the significance of native plants, their traditional uses and the important connection between culture, land and sustainability. It was a valuable hands-on learning experience that supported their classroom studies and deepened their understanding of Australia’s natural environment.

Year 10 students also completed AAS and Morrisby testing, both important steps ahead of Term 3 subject selection and pathways discussions.
Looking ahead, Year 10 families are encouraged to attend the VCE and Pathways Expo evening in Week 3 of Term 3, which will provide valuable information and guidance as students consider their senior pathways. Students will also take part in the RYDA Safe Driving Program later in Term 3.
Our Year 12 students took part in an Elephant Ed GROW session focused on effective upstanding. The session explored respectful relationship management, conflict resolution and the skills needed to navigate challenging situations at school and beyond, including in the world of work.
Year 12 students also had a fantastic night at their Formal, coming together to celebrate friendship, connection and their final year at the College. It was a great chance for the students to enjoy time with their peers, mark this special milestone and create some lasting memories before the busyness of the year ahead. The evening was full of energy, laughter and plenty of great moments, and it was wonderful to see the cohort celebrate together.
